TruthQuest Journals:

Josh
PACIFIC BEACH, Calif. (BP)--Today was an awesome day. I went surfing and got up on my first try. I had so much fun. I would have to say that the best part of my day was witnessing to all the people that were passing by. It was such an exciting experience.

I talked to this guy named George. He was this guy around 19 years of age and he asked me if the drinks were free. I told him that they were and then he asked me why they were free. I started telling him about the church we were helping out and that we were trying to get the gospel of Jesus Christ out to the people. I started talking to him and asking him the five questions. He was digging into it and really understood everything that I told him. He was reading the verses that I asking him to read and actually understanding it without me telling him what it meant. I was in such shock at how easy it really was to witness to him.

I really thought it was weird because it seemed as though we had so much in common. I really felt as if I could relate to him. I finished with the verses and asked him if he wanted to ask Christ into his heart. He told me yeah that he’s done it like 50 times though. I told him that I didn’t want him to ask Christ into his heart if he wasn’t really going to mean it. He told me that he had this little bit of doubt in him that just wasn’t sure about everything. I told him that if he wasn’t sure then he shouldn’t do it because it wouldn’t mean anything to God.

He said that he wasn’t sure so I gave him my Bible and told him to go read the gospel of John, He told me that he would, and that he would go to the church service the next day. I really think that George really meant what he said. I feel as though he wanted to ask God into his heart, but he really didn’t at the same time. I was very inspired by his passion about the subject and, I felt as though he really meant what he told me. I will be praying for George and I hope he will come to know Christ very soon.
