TruthQuest Journals:

David
JENNESS PARK, Calif. (BP)--Thirty minutes before tonight’s journal deadline, I was in a panic because I had nothing to write about. Today was somewhat of a free day with no cameras around to catch all the excitement. This meant that there would be little going on, with most of us sleeping on the bus or watching a movie.

Realizing that the American public cares little about my five-hour naps on the bus, I was struggling to think of something to write about. However, after tonight’s worship service in Jenness Park, the team met together for a group “discussion.”

It was such a blessing to have everyone talking together without debating over something in the Bible or complaining about being late.

We simply shared our hearts with each other, and we eventually decided that this meeting should be an everyday thing. It is funny how God works when I least expect Him to do so.

I was so ready to go to bed after the service tonight, but God had other plans. I am so thankful that He allowed the group to have that time of fellowship. It was something that we greatly needed.

It is needless to say that with twelve teenagers on a bus, tension will occur. This has been the case so far. We all get on each other’s nerves sometimes, and it is hard for God to work in our lives if we have such negative attitudes.

That is what God cleared up for us tonight. We have to be a team in order to do His work. That means encouraging each other rather than tearing one another down. God is working on this trip.

I only hope that we can stay on His road and out of His way. I am so thankful to serve a God that comes to the rescue exactly when I need Him.
