YOSEMITE,
Calif. (BP)--When I think of what heaven might look like,
I think of country pastures, tropical beaches, and enormous
cliffs and waterfalls. Well, there is probably not a place
on Earth that possesses all three of these qualities, but
two out of three isn’t bad. Driving into Yosemite National
Forest, I found it hard to believe that I would ever see anything
more beautiful than this place.
Everywhere I looked I saw bluff and mountains,
trees and waterfalls, and almost everything nature could provide.
I honestly do not understand how someone could see something
as beautiful as Yosemite and still deny God’s existence.
His fingerprints are all over the mountainous landscape everywhere
the eye can see.
After a very long day of travel, I was able
to get off the bus and stop for a short while. The clean mountain
air was more refreshing than I could have ever believed. God
has continued to amaze me on this trip, and for that I am
extremely grateful.
I never would have imagined that the air I
breathe could actually take my breath away, but it has happened
here.
The power and beauty of God is so incredible,
and I am so thankful to be allowed to serve him. I wish I
could think of more words to describe the beauty of Yosemite,
but only one comes to mind -- Heaven.
