TruthQuest Journals:

Andy
PACIFIC BEACH, Calif. (BP)--When you truly see God, all your troubles are then put into perspective. You lose sight of what you were once so worried about, you relax and know that someone so much bigger and better has you right in His hands.

I truly saw God tonight when I sat on that beach and watched the sunset. It amazed me so much to think that the same person that created that sun, that sky, and that ocean, is the same person that numbered the hairs on my head and created me to be just like Him. He loves me so much it is impossible to fathom.

Just like the story in the Bible where God placed Abraham in the cleft of the rock and let him see the back of His glory as He passed by. How amazing and unreal it would be just to see the back of His glory. I think I honestly saw part of God’s amazing face tonight in His creation. I sat there and wondered, how can a person watch the rhythmic pattern of the waves crash in and not know that there is a God, how can someone see the glowing amber and red colors of a beautiful California sunset and not realize that God loves them so much.

He created it for us to enjoy, to use to honor His name. We can see God’s glory when we look around us. We need not to fear tomorrow. As one of my favorite songs says: “The eyes of the Lord see so much farther, than you and I can see, past all the pain, past all the sorrow, and to eternity, when we are tempted to run and hide, may we remember the vision of Christ.” Do not worry about tomorrow, instead relax and look for God’s glory. He holds tomorrow.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way.
